The clock is running out! There are only 5 days left to submit your nominations for the Inspy Awards.
This year, we’ve made a significant change to our nomination process. The longlist will no longer be a list of every book nominated as in previous years. The long list will now comprise the top 15 nominated novels in each category that receive the majority vote. The rules otherwise remain the same.
Once the task of the top 15 is calculated and complete, the Advisory Board will publicize the long list and determine the shortlists by selecting the five best novels in each category. The same independent judging process will then apply to the shortlists as in previous years.
Please note the book eligibility and the nomination rules:
- The dates of eligibility have returned to a 12 month timeframe and will include books published in print between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015.
- Print books that were first published as an E-book in years prior to 2015 are ineligible.
- Self-published books have been eliminated from consideration.
- Books can not be self-nominated by their author.
Book nominations are sought in the following genres: Debut Novel, General Fiction, Contemporary Romance/Romantic Suspense, Historical Romance, Literature for Young Adults, Speculative Fiction, and Mystery & Thriller. The deadline to nominate a book is January 16.
Besides nominating the best in faith-driven literature, another way to help today is to spread the word — blog about the INSPYs, tell your friends.
The winners of the sixth annual INSPY awards will be announced June 30, 2016.
