His team. His mission.

A mission that comes at the highest cost!

Captain Dean Watters keeps his mission and his team in the forefront of his laser-like focus. So when Dean’s mission and team are threatened, his Special Forces training kicks into high gear. Failing to stop hackers from stealing national security secrets from the military’s secure computers and networks isn’t an option.

Zahrah Zarrick is a missionary teacher to Afghan children in Mazar-e Sharif. And a target. When Zahrah is captured because of her expertise in quantum cryptology, compromising the U.S. military, Dean is forced to crack the lockbox around his heart—a move that might come at the highest cost.

My Review

This series may be called The Quiet Professional but there is nothing quiet about Ronie Kendig’s writing talent or this plot! Just when I think Ronie has taken me to the peak of intrigue, action and romance, she ups the ante and sends me in to an emotional tail spin. Set in present day Afghanistan, Raptor 6 throws readers in to the the multi-front war against terror: from tenebrous Afghanistan to the cunning world of digital sabotage.

Dean Watter’s personality is befitting his leadership role and severity of his mission. His serious demeanour is emblematic of his commitment to his men, his country and his purpose. Watters is a man respected by his men follow him in to the fray without hesitation, relying on his direction and expertise to see them home. Honour and courage are the badges of his character. He is an exemplary soldier to be sure, but it is his devotion for the downtrodden that sets his apart in the company of worthy patriots.

Zahrah Zarrick, daughter of a retired general, is a target for Taliban sympathizers due to her work educating Afghan children, but she possesses a skill that terrorists seek to possess more than her downfall. Her training in quantum cryptology makes her an asset that terrorists are determined to possess, but her dedication to her faith and purpose are unfaltering.

Raptor 6 is an exhilarating read from page one and possess Ronie’s signature “action with purpose.” Yes, you will be riveted by scenes of heart stopping combat and pulse accelerating chemistry, but you will also look within yourself and question the depths of your faith and just how far you are willing to go for a noble cause. Another exceptional start to a guaranteed brilliant series from Ronie Kendig!
