“TBR” Inspy Books of 2014 and Reading Challenge

Every year I like to set a goal of how many books I will read in 365 days . Last year (strange to be using that phrase already) I set an unrealistic goal of 100 which I later amended to 60. I finished out the year with 54 books read (excluding books nominated for an Inspy) and 3/4 of those were reviewed on the blog. Not too shabby but it could have been better. I am in awe of you speed readers who hit 100+ !

This year I am re-pledging 60 books and drafted the beginnings of my exhaustive yet exciting “2014 To Read List.” Really Goldfinch by Donna Tartt should account for two books but rules are rules ;) I have already read a few 2014 releases and it proves to be another great year in Christian publishing! I just got the Julie Klassen book, can’t wait to read it. I’m a big fan of Urban Christian fiction so I can’t wait for “Fortune and Fame” by ReShonda Tate Billingsley and Victoria Christopher Murray, “The Replacement Wife” by Tiffany L. Warren, “Hitting the Right Note” by Rhonda Bowen, and “Forever An Ex” by Victoria Christopher Murray

Great list! I have about five of these already on my to be read list for 2014. Since reading Brock and Bodie Thoene so many years ago (ex. Zion Covenant), I fell in love with WWII Christian Fiction. Thank you for introducing me to For Such a Time and The Butterfly and the Violin.

I love to hear your thoughts!
