A stubborn case of bronchitis complicated by a severe allergic reaction to penicillin (full body drug rash?! #aintnobodygotimeforthat) that left me in a semi-comatose Benadryl induced stupor drinking copious amounts of lemon ginger tea…wait, where was I going with this? Oh, right. I’m very behind on blogging. Because I was sick and stuff.
In the moments that I was moderately coherent I managed to finish quite a few books and outline my reviews for others that were pushed to bottom of my When-My-Antibodies-Get-Their-Act-Together To-Do List. But I am almost fully recuperated with my tuckus parked on the couch watching a marathon of Christmas movies. And I am in a GOOD MOOD.
It snowed. In Vancouver. The land of perpetual winter rain and gloom was blanketed with a fresh dusting of snow this morning.
Since I moved to the West Coast just over three years ago I have been hoping, wishing and praying for a White Christmas. Alas the seasonal rains will descend again tomorrow but I figure the weekend for Christmas is close enough.
Between now and New Year’s Day I plan on putting a serious dent in my TBR pile. Currently on the roster are:
- Princess Ever After by Rachel Hauck
- The Dancing Master by Julie Klassen
- The Headmistress of Rosemere by Sarah E Ladd
- Love’s Awakening by Laura Frantz
